Adam's All-Time Favorite Music Video

Foo Fighters |MTV Music

Other than the fact that the song Everlong is truly a classic, two words best exemplify why this video deserves to be the best ever: Michael Gondry. Not only did he direct this brilliant video, but he also directed Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Science of Sleep. He seems to have a knack for creating truly dreamlike sequences. He doesn't rely on fuzzy borders and echo-y audio - no, he creates confusing, funny, scary, and just simply bizarre sequences found only in the mind.

Adam's Second Favorite

My Chemical Romance |MTV Music

Yeah, it's emo, but don't let that scare you off. This isn't a video about why a teenager's bio lab partner won't return his emails - this is about death. The tragic death of someone whose time came way too early. This video has raw emotion - rage and sorrow - represented surprisingly well by a group of what appears to be interprative dancers. It beckons to the ludicrous nature of mourning - repressing emotion during such a morose period. The part where Helena gets out of her casket to dance around those praying is a personal favorite, ending with the best 3 seconds of music video ever - 2:37 to 2:40 in. Gives me goosebumps every time.
