J.E. Honey Ale
Kolsch

Type: All Grain

Date: 5/9/2009

Batch Size: 5.00 gal

Brewer: Adam Ross
Boil Size: 6.31 gal Asst Brewer:
Boil Time: 90 min Equipment: Brew Pot (6+gal) and Igloo/Gott Cooler (5 Gal)
Taste Rating(out of 50): 45.0 Brewhouse Efficiency: 70.00
Taste Notes: The body is slightly thinner than I would have liked. This has an excellent aroma and brilliantly clear hue. The flavor is very soft and sweet much like the honey I added. You can only find the hops if you're looking for them.

Notes

If you want a truly tasty brew that will go over on any hot summer day, lager this for about a month. I kept a mini keg in the fridge for a month and the result was a sparkling clear beer with a lighter and softer taste. This lagering transforms it from a Honey Ale to a traditional Kolsch.
